Choose your configuration. Built to your operation.
STU drawbar trailers are available in multiple axle layouts — standard or extendable chassis — with adjustable drawbar height and your choice of axle brand. Every build starts from your operation.
Fixed Length
Standard chassis for consistent everyday cargo lengths. Suited for regional distribution, construction logistics, and operations with predictable load profiles.
Variable Length
Extendable chassis for long loads and special transport projects. Fleets that carry both standard and long cargo benefit from one trailer that adapts to both without compromising control.
Key Features
Every component chosen for durability, stability, and operational discipline. Built for fleets with high expectations.
Hot-Dip Galvanized Chassis
Long-Life Ownership Starts Here.
The entire chassis is hot-dip galvanized — giving the trailer long-term corrosion resistance, stronger lifecycle value, and a cleaner long-term ownership advantage compared to painted alternatives.
Metallurgically Bonded Zinc
The zinc coating is metallurgically bonded to the steel — not a paint layer. It cannot peel, chip, or flake. Road salt, moisture, and UV have no lasting effect.
Self-Healing at Cut Edges
Cathodic protection means zinc sacrifices itself to protect adjacent steel at cut edges and drill holes — the trailer stays protected even after fabrication modifications.
Fleet Flexibility
One Trailer. Multiple Operations.
Fleet flexibility for different towing vehicles and operating styles. Axle layout, drawbar height, and chassis type can all be configured to your fleet's exact requirements.
Your Choice of Running Gear
Axle brand can be selected according to your market and service network: TRAX, GIGANT, BPW, or SAF — ensuring spare parts availability wherever you operate.
Adjustable Drawbar Height
Coupling height can be matched to your towing vehicle. An adjustable drawbar height system can be produced for fleets using different trucks or tractors.
Loading & Cargo Access
Ready When Cargo Arrives.
Loading-friendly design with ramps, securing points, and side extension solutions matched to your cargo workflow — so the trailer adapts to the operation, not the other way around.
Ramps & Loading Access
Ramp solutions matched to your cargo type and access requirements — rear ramps, side ramps, and loading area configurations can be tailored to your daily workflow.
Securing & Fixing Points
Lashing rings, chain rings, and fixing points matched to your cargo type — providing compliant load restraint across the full deck length without secondary hardware.
Drawbar Coupling
Connected to Any Towing Vehicle.
Drawbar connection via a front tow bar and tow eye — compatible with truck, tractor unit, or another trailer. Coupling height can be fixed or adjustable depending on your fleet's towing vehicles.
Stable Tracking & Braking
Balanced axle layouts deliver predictable handling with stable road tracking and confident braking — suited for demanding routes and continuous duty cycles.
Side Extensions Available
Side extension and widening systems available for cargo that requires additional platform width — matched to your operation and compliant with road regulations.

Material & Engineering FAQs
What is Hardox steel and where is it used in trailers?
Hardox is a wear-resistant steel manufactured by SSAB, specifically designed for applications requiring exceptional abrasion resistance. Grades vary from 400 to 500 HBW.
Technical Details:Typical applications include dump truck bodies and loader buckets. Service life can be 3-5 times longer than conventional steel.
What are the welding requirements for high-strength steels?
High-strength steels require specialized welding procedures to maintain mechanical properties and prevent defects, including preheating for thicknesses > 20mm.
Technical Details:Welding procedures must be qualified according to EN ISO 15614. Heat input typically limited to 0.8-2.5 kJ/mm.
